A draft ordinance for a drainage fee that could free up funds for redevelopment is expected to be brought to the Richardson city council in September. Public hearings on the proposed fee are expected to take place in October.  If implemented this drainage fee could free up an estimated $1,000,000 in the general fund that could go towards the redevelopment of the Spring Valley Road corridor.
